As of April Gtd has a Dedicated Interconnect. A new direct connection service with Google Cloud that will allow our clients to make large data transfers with very low latency and high speeds. Today, there are only two interconnection points in Chile, one of them being our Data Center at Panamericana.

Gtd supports the growth of Cloud services, which is projected to grow 30,4% in Latin America in 2023
The Intelligence Data Corporation (IDC) states that in Chile alone growth will reach 29,7%. Gtd plans to build two brand new data centers to strengthen their IT offer. The evolution of digital services has experienced exponential growth worldwide in the last few years and will continue to do so. Carolina Araya, Infrastructure Strategy & Wholesale Segment Manager, atributes this growth to multiple factors in business development, for example, the growing adoption of both public and private cloud services.

The DCD Awards recognize the most outstanding projects, people and teams in IT and Datacenter services, and this year more applicants than ever were received in 11 categories. It is important to mention that we were the only Latin American operator nominated in these categories: Data Center Construction Team of the Year and Data Center Operations Team of the Year

At Gtd we know how important submarine fiber optic technology is to overcome natural barriers, connect historically isolated territories and bring technology closer to all places. In this sense, in Spain we have deployed a double submarine cable, called "II Continents", which connects the Peninsula from Tarifa and La Línea with Ceuta.

Gtd Perú obtiene certificación TIER III categoría Gold
El 04 de junio Gtd Perú sumó un nuevo hito a nuestra compañía. El Data Center en Lima obtuvo la certificación TIER III categoría GOLD en Operación Sostenible. Esta nueva certificación fue lograda luego de un riguroso proceso de auditoría realizado por el Uptime Institute, que evalúa tres elementos claves para obtener la certificación: personal, mantenimiento y entrenamiento.

Data Center El Poblado, a la vanguardia en energías renovables
Gtd Colombia decidió dar un paso adelante, transformando su Data Center El Poblado en el primer ‘green data center’ de Colombia. Con este fin, se instalaron 67 paneles solares de 465 W (Watios) capaces de generar 31.16 kW (kilovatios), los cuales representan más del 60% de su consumo energético. Lo anterior, nos significó recibir por parte de la Corporación Autónoma Regional del Centro de Antioquia (Corantioquia), el Sello de Sostenibilidad.

Científicos del instituto de investigación francés Géoazur, en colaboración con el Centro Sismológico Nacional (CSN), convertirán el cable de fibra óptica submarina Prat, en el instrumento de medición de movimientos telúricos más próximo a donde se originan los terremotos más fuertes del país.
